<3

You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there." -Bob Marley

To Nicolas, With Love

There is one collection... just one... that I can't stop thinking about, have always thought about and will never stop thinking about... and that is Nicolas Ghesquiere's Fall 2007 collection for Balenciaga. Strangely, never seems to out-date itself. No matter the season, the year, or what mood you may be in... it always seems relevant and supremely perfect for the here and the now. It's got rocker, student, lady, cool, chic, playful, serious, stylish, masculine, feminine.... etc. etc. all in one. I hate it.... in the nicest of ways. I die.

Alla Kostromicheva

This gem is absolutely stunning in every single way, shape, and form. She just screams Givenchy to me and has this great Lara Stone thing going for that's sure to make her the new it girl. All anyone wants to do is bleach the Ukranian's eyebrows and proclaim fierce, cause seriously gem is breath-taking in person.

NEED

givvvveeeeee me now.... please.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Don't worry Peta, it's in good hands now.

I have this really intense need for an oversized leather/suede jacket with some sort of sherpa or short-haired fur inside. I AM NOT GOING TO BE COLD THIS WINTER. I just want something that I can melt into even on the coldest north-eastern days in NYC. SOOOO.... of course I turned to ebay to find an inexpensive, yet totally unique coat that filled all my needs and wants. This is what I found... and bought at that. It's a bit of a risk, cause I quite possibly might look like I'm swimming in this one. But the fact that it only set me back $32, and that includes an international shipping fee.... I always have the option to sell it to Beacon's with no skin off my back. But seriously guys.... cross your fingers cause this is a find and a half. (Yes, bitch has a hood! Mmm!)

NOTE: The buttons are for sure getting swapped out.

And okay, so the puff pockets are a bit 80s..... but I'm praying to baby jesus that I can pull it off.

Standing O Mr. Tisci

So horrible of me to of not blogged about ANY of the shows debuting within the past month. Horrible... horrible... I know. Was I uninspired by all the collections before hand? Not at all... but maybe it just took Ricardo Tisci himself  too push me to right a Spring 2010 review.

Berrrrrr illlly antttttttttt..... so good. He's the only man that really, truly can pull of this romantic yet incredibly dark look... while still letting a woman feel sexy, sophisticated, and absolutely elated to be wearing his clothes. I tried on my first Givenchy dress this past month and desperately wanted to start crying all over myself the minute I glanced in the mirror at the concoction I had wrapped around my body... Yeah, I know, right in the middle of Barney's... but I held my glee in only to take off the dress and wish that someday I could make clothes that made women feel the same way as when I slipped on the navy mini. BEAUTIFUL. His shit is phenomenal and every season he never fails to disappoint... Standing O Sir Tisci.

Hanne Gaby Odele

Girl

No words.
This instantly became my desktop background.

'Mom, I had just had too.'

OH MY GAWD... BBBBAAAABBBIIIEESSS! These shoes deserve the ever so rare... 'Mom, I just had to have them.. I am sorry but I won't be able to pay health insurance this month.'

HAHA.... Gawd I hate my soul. But come on seriously, those of you who personally know me, KNOW that I never splurge on anything (yes, $235...okay... $239 with ground shipping... is my idea of splurging). I am all about the salvation army, beacon's closet, pop-up thrift stores, and cheap finds. I love being able to pull off a $4 vintage shirt with an American Apparel skirt and some boots that I got 2 years ago. It's quite easy actually... Hey, I have to put that new bachelor's degree in fashion design in to use somehow! These children are phenomenal. Thanks to those at Jeffrey Campbell, they brought a little something new to the table in the vast conglomeration of the out-dated booties, basic riding boots and ankle boots. They are a little vintage, a little punk, and a little absolutely gorgeous. Love the fact that they lace up (Women... absolutely no worries that they won't fit your calves cause they are indeed expandable.) Love the distressed look. the  gunmetal rivets, and love the fact that the laces start so close to the toe. Ranting, raving, ok, ok.... Enough.

Whether you find these one-of-a-kind boots appealing or not, hurry up and get your hands on them now! Cause they are going fffffasssttt... In other words, you can totally be one of those bitches that steals a middle market shoe and sells it on Ebay after all stock has sold out for triple what  the boot is worth and make a profit, cause some little fashionista somewhere is crying that she never got her pair.

PLEASE... DON'T LET THIS BE YOU!

HOME BOY!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (obnoxious) unbelievably excited, thrilled, and proud to admit my homeboy ()k, he's from Antwerp) got a crazy, ridiculous, well-deserved internship at John Galliano... And is in fact moving to Paris (dream!). I introduce to you Joeri Van Yper! This kid is crazy cool and bursting with talent. He graduated seamlessly and with flying colors from the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp (Yes, where they routinely fail kids just to keep graduating classes under 10 people!). He was at the top of his class in addition to winning several awards for his past collections. Boy was a fellow intern of mine at Proenza Schouler, where he was almost hired as the new addition to their Accessories team (insert sad face here). But no worries... Paris, watch out, cause Mr. Van Yper is coming to town, and he's here to stay.

Yep... Boy even made the shoes.

Love you and Miss you dearly.
All the the luck in the world!

Secrets are no fun

WILL OWN IN 5 TO 7 BUSINESS DAYS!
(SIDE NOTE: In tortoise of course... but might go back to get black tooo!)

Would you kill me if I told you they only set me back $10?
DYINGGG!!!!
